Global IT outsourcing company Ness Technologies is growing its business with the formal setting up of a dedicated division in Israel.

While, Ness itself has always had one of its headquarters in Israel, the move sees Ness Israel as a unit for the region in a similar way to how it operates other regions across the world.

The setting up of the division saw the merger of its Israeli-based IT services and managed services groups and the appointment of Shachar Efal to the position of president of the division.

"The streamlining of our Israeli operations further demonstrates Ness' commitment to growing our market share, increasing operational efficiencies and driving long-term profitability," said Raviv Zoller, president and CEO of Ness Technologies.

Ness Israel, based in Tel Aviv is part of the international provider of technology solutions which employs over 5700 people across the globe in countries including the UK, USA, India, Romania, Slovakia and Czech Republic. It believes the level of knowledge in Israel combined with cost effective operating costs will attract more clients to its business.

The move comes as Israel itself is also making moves to attract more global businesses to its outsourcing facilities.

Within its local market, Ness provides services to many business and government organisations. It has worked with Israelís Judicial Authority to streamline its operations and make them efficient electronically. Globally, it's clients include Johnson & Johnson, Coca Cola and Transamerica.
