Israeli-based domain name registration company Domain The Net is offering domain name owners a range of new services to protect their domain names from being taken by domain name thieves.

The new services which are linked to its user accounts are NameWatch, NameSecure and NameLock.

According to the company, domain name owners need to make sure their domain names are constantly being monitored to prevent others from taking them over and causing potential online damage if it gets into the wrong hands.

"The security risks facing businesses today are becoming more and more sophisticated," said Domain The Net chief executive Yoav Keren. "These solutions are meant to protect the organization from hostile parties that have succeeded in penetrating the domain name settings and thus to create damage in a number of ways - including the disabling or overtaking the website."
